If we can not verify a recent timing belt change, a new belt, water pump, rollers, tensioner and serpentine belt is installed so you won’t have to worry about it for 100,000 miles.

TDI (Turbo Direct Injection) Diesel
"Turbo direct injection" refers to the way a turbo diesel engine injects fuel into the combustion chamber, where it is ignited by compressed (heated) air. The TDI engine offers significant improvements over other diesel engines. The injection is electronically controlled, which reduces the "lag" of older diesel models, reduces the emission of nitrogen oxides, reduces noise, and improves fuel efficiency. The combustion chamber of a TDI engine involves less heat loss and allows a lower compression ratio, thus increasing engine durability and reducing noise.
The limited availability of TDI cars in California is due to emission standards. Tailpipe emissions from diesel engines and the fuel sulfur content of conventional petroleum-based diesel fuel have led to "LEV" (low emission vehicle) standards that preclude the sale of new diesel passenger vehicles in California. However, "out-of-state" vehicles with at least 7500 miles may be brought in for re-sale. Ahl Motors specializes in finding TDI vehicles and making them available for purchase in California.

Biodiesel is a fossil-fuel alternative made from vegetable and/or animal fats. Biodiesel can be used in place of conventional diesel without any modifications to a diesel vehicle.
Biodiesel emissions are significantly less than those of petroleum-based diesel: 100% less sulfur dioxide and up to 75% less particulate emissions.
Biodiesel can be mixed with conventional petroleum-based diesel in any ratio. In fact, blending biodiesel with conventional diesel has been shown to improve both gas mileage and engine performance.
